Porter Corners, NY - Kimberly D. Brown, age 56, passed away peacefully following a valiant two-year battle with pancreatic cancer on December 10, 2024 at her home in Porter Corners, New York.
Kimberly was born on May 31, 1968 in Glens Falls, New York to parents Darlene Lunt Brown and H. Daniel Brown. She grew up in East Dummerston, Vermont. Kimberly achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Fitness from Springfield College, Massachusetts.
Kim was an avid reader and had an intense love of nature, animals, and adventure. She enjoyed hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, paddle boarding, and embellishing her motorcycles and vehicles. Kim also loved to gather family and friends for the most impressive bonfires. She was a talented artisan that enjoyed upcycling to create innovative home decor. Under Kim's quiet demeanor was a fierce, fun-loving, adventurous spirit. Kim embodied exemplary bravery, humility, and determination.
Kim worked in retail management for companies including Michaels and Target. Her most recent employment was with Benson's Pet Center which she valued and considered her second home.
Kimberly is survived by her beloved wife, Kathryn M. Moulder and cherished step-children, Bennett and Luke. Her loving mother, Darlene Lunt Brown. Sister, Jolene Snider (Brian) and nieces, Piper and Julia. Brother, Jeffrey Brown. Dear friend, Mary Lou Hamel. She is preceded by her father, H. Daniel Brown. Kim touched the lives of many and was loyal, dependable, and an inspiration to all that knew her. She cherished her nieces and nephews, cousins, brother and sister in laws, aunts, uncles, and loving friends.
Kim adored her many loyal pets that she loved to pamper and spoil. They brought her so much joy.
Relatives and friends may call from 10am to 1pm, Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (518-584-5373). A prayer service will follow directly at 1pm. Burial will be at the Albany Rural Cemetery at a later date.
