Obituary

Gansevoort, NY - Lawrence Figueras passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, January 28, 2012 surrounded by his love ones. He was 69. Born on July 1,1942 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Lorenzo Antonio Figueras and Mary Ramos Figueras. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. Lawrence was a Roman Catholic and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He was always a generous, loving and giving Godly man . "Daddy, you were always there for us giving us strength and encouragement through trials and tribulations. You never gave up on your family, you loved us so very much. We loved your sense of humor and great story telling and you were a wonderful artist. You will be truly missed. Daddy, there will always be a hole in our hearts until we are all reunited again. You always told us to never say goodbye, its see you later. Thank you Jesus for taking away his pain and for dying on the cross for us so that we may be saved through your grace and mercy." Lawrence is predeceased by his youngest son, Andrew Jacob Figueras and his brother William Figueras of Florida whom he will be reunited with in Heaven. Survivors include his faithful wife of 45 years Patricia Taranowski Figueras; four children, Christine Figueras Weiss and her husband James B. Weiss of Porter Corners, Michelle B.Figueras of Saratoga Springs, eldest son Michael and his wife Paticia Conlin Figueras of Corinth and Joseph Figueras of Gansevoort,surviving twin of Andrew. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, one brother, Patrick Joseph Figueras of PA, three sisters, Diana Dylnicki of Florida, Rose Torkelson of Chicago and Sandra Kondek of Florida and many nieces and nephews Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 12noon Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at St. Therese Chapel, 1 Wilton-Gansevoort Rd., Gansevoort with a funeral service at noon. Burial with military honors will follow at 2pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
