Clifton Park, NY - Lewis "Lloyd" McNab, 74, died peacefully at home on Saturday (Aug. 16, 2014) surrounded by his loving family, following a long illness. Raised in Green Island, NY, he was the son of Lewis L. McNab and Lillian Soucy McNab, brother to John "Howard" McNab and Joseph "Brian" McNab. He and his wife of 49 years, Linda Latham McNab (formerly of Saratoga Springs), were married May 1, 1965 and have three children and seven grandchildren; son, Daron (Sarah) - Brendan (17), Garrett (8) and Carys (3); son, Keith (April) - McKenzie (19), Samantha (13) and daughter, Courtney David (Frank) - Nicole (9) and Kylie (6). Mr. McNab graduated from Catholic Central High School, Troy, NY in 1956 at the age of 16 and enlisted in the US Army, serving two years active duty (February, 1962 to February, 1964) and two years in the Army National Guard during the Viet Nam era. He was employed by the NYS Department of Labor, Office of General Services and was the Director, MMIS Policy & Design - New York State Department of Social Services, from which he retired after 40 years of state service in 1997. His interests included hunting, camping, fishing, caring for his grandchildren and discussing Republican/Conservative politics. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8pm Tuesday (Aug. 19, 2014) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). Services will be conducted at 10am Wednesday (Aug. 20) at the funeral home and burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
