Saratoga Springs, NY - Linda L. Moran of Vanderbilt Avenue passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her residence, following a courageous battle with cancer, with her son Justin and sister Nancy at her side. Born on August 22, 1955 in Saratoga Springs, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margie Gurtler Cummings. A 1973 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, she was a Customer Service Manager at Price Chopper with 37 years of dedicated service. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to the track in August and trips to Foxwoods and was a very caring and loving person. Survivors include her husband, John "Sean" Moran; her son Justin Moran and his friend Janel; loving sister, Nancy Ryle, all of Saratoga Springs; brother, Mark Cummings and his wife Jenny of Salem; step-children, Debbie Thomas of Saratoga Springs and Kevin Moran of Florida; grandchildren, Mya and Liam Moran and Lilly Sweet, all of Saratoga Springs; step-grandchildren, Sean, J.R. and Devon Thomas of Ballston Spa; nieces, Jennifer Ryle of Saratoga Springs, Nicole Ryle and Alexis Plevy of Virginia; nephews, Levi, Garrett and Zachary Cummings of Salem and her very dear childhood friend, Sue DeGrasse of Saratoga Springs. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Monday, April 4, 2011 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A funeral service will follow at 8pm. Burial will be at the family plot in Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave., in the spring.
