Wilton, NY - Lois Ebert Coon of Route 9, passed away Monday (Nov. 17, 2008) at her residence. She was 81. Born on Nov. 23, 1926 in Greenfield Center, NY, she was the daughter of the late John A. and (Florence) Vivian Wendell Ebert. Lois worked as a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Co. in Saratoga Springs before her marriage. She also loved to sew and spend time in her garden. She was a communicant of St. Clement's Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph F. Coon, who died in 1992 and her brother, Foster Ebert. Survivors include three daughters, Carmella Olszewski (Philip) of Middle Grove, Natalie Jean Henning (Gary) of Porter Corners and Janet Marie McLouth (Gary) of Gansevoort; one son, Joseph F. Coon (Jackie) of Gansevoort; and five grandchildren, Eric Coon, Shawn Olszewski, Jeannette Coon, Richard Coon and Lauren Coon. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 11am Friday (Nov. 21, 2008) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373), followed by a funeral service at 11am.
