Saratoga Springs - Loraine O'Rourke-Brown, of Saratoga Springs, most recently residing in Schuylerville, passed away on Thursday evening (Feb. 16, 2023) at Saratoga Hospital.  She was 68. Loraine was born on October 13 ^th , 1954, in Albany, NY to the late Joan C. and Richard G. O'Rourke. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband George H. Brown and partner Brian K. Lorman.

Loraine graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1972.  She attended Adirondack Community College and received her Associates Degree. Loraine spent her early career working in hospitality on her way to become a manager with Harry M. Stevens at horse racing venues across NYC, Saratoga Springs, and NJ. Loraine spent many years working to support small businesses across Saratoga Springs with website and accounting services. Loraine was an ardent community volunteer. She was an active member of the Little League softball and baseball across Greenfield and Saratoga communities. Serving in many different roles on the Greenfield Little League Board of Directors. Loraine was an active member of the Saratoga Springs Class of 1972 alumni group. She served as a key member of the group to help organize class reunions, culminating with the 50-year reunion in 2022, at which she was honored with a scholarship in her name. The scholarship represents the class of '72 award made every 5 years to deserving Saratoga Springs High School Seniors for Higher Education.

Loraine was a loving mother to three children; Chad O'Rourke-Brown of Saratoga Springs, NY, Lona O'Rourke-Brown of Deerfield Beach, FL and Kip O'Rourke-Brown of Edgewater, FL. Loraine was delighted and overjoyed to become a grandmother in 2017 and spent countless hours traveling and visiting with her grandchildren. She was a proud grandmother of her two grandchildren, Lilyana O'Rourke-Brown and Jax O'Rourke-Brown of Edgewater, FL. Loraine is also survived by her sister Donna Martin (O'Rourke) of Cardiff by the Sea, CA and niece Dr. Amanda Martin of Carlsbad, CA, nephew Kevin Martin of Ventura, CA, cousins; Donald Pohlman of Schuylerville, NY and Linda Schreck (Pohlman) of LaGrangeville, NY.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 4-6:30pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373). At 6:30pm Loraine's family will begin sharing fond memories to celebrate her life.

Burial will be private.
