Saratoga Springs, NY – Lou Ann Santora peacefully passed away with her family beside her on April 8, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on April 2, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Salvador and Josephine Curto.

She was a proud resident of Saratoga Springs and a graduate of Russell Sage College. Lou Ann worked as an administrative assistant for Saratoga County Alcohol and Substance Abuse. She also worked part time as a bartender for the Saratoga Race Course.

She was married for the last 11 years to her closest of friends of 32 years, Joseph M. Scensny.

Lou Ann's endearing personality brought joy to all who knew her. Lou Ann genuinely bestowed a friendship you would never forget. While spending time with her family was her first delight, friends were always welcome. After her retirement in 2004, she traveled yearly to Aruba and spent the winter months in Florida by the beach.

Lou Ann  is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph M. Scensny; son, Michael Santora, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, daughter, Christina Miskovsky (Charles), Ballston Spa, NY, daughter, Michelle Hawkins (Christopher), Ballston Spa, NY; Anthony Santora, Glenville, NY, (father of her children); grandchildren, Kaitlyn Miskovsky, Stephen Miskovsky, Josephine Hawkins, Tyler Scensny and Jessica Scensny. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Curto (Lois); nephew Robert Curto and niece Jennifer Boske (Shaun); as well as many cousins and close friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am, Saturday, April 13 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY.

Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to The American Cancer Society .
