Obituary

Saratoga Springs, NY Louis S. Verdile, 75, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at his home. Louis was the son of the late Luigi and Frances Terrone Verdile. He attended Mechanicville High School, class of 1954, and was a graduate of Bryant University in Rhode Island. Lou served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He work for the Ford Motor Co. for over 30 years in Human Resources and Labor Relations. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Bernadette Verdile; his children, Frances (John) Howard and Paul Verdile; granddaughters, Mary Frances and Laura Grace Howard; his sister, Phyllis Verdile; his brother, Charles Verdile; brothers-in-law, Michael Verdile, Raphael M. Verdile Jr., MD and Vincent P. (Lou-Ann) Verdile, MD, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Our Ladys Chapel in St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at St. Clements Church. Burial with military honors will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Louis may be made to the Verdile Family Endowed Scholarship Fund at Albany Medical Center, c/o Albany Medical Center Foundation, PO Box 8928, Albany, NY 12208. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373).
