Luca Anthony Rose, a beloved son, passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2026, at the age of two. Though his time with us was far too short, he filled his days, and the lives of those around him, with a lifetime of love.
Luca brought warmth and light wherever he went, his radiant smile and bright blue eyes leaving a lasting impression on all who met him. He was naturally sociable, always eager to greet the world with a cheerful wave and a friendly hello, whether to familiar faces or new ones.
His joyful spirit and laughter were a source of happiness to everyone, especially when he was alongside his big brother and best friend, Arlo. From playtime at Miss Krissy’s to exploring the world around him, Luca found wonder and adventure in every moment.
He cherished time spent with family and friends, particularly when gathered around a meal. Food was one of the many ways Luca connected with those he loved, and his sweet giggles, playful nature, and gentle heart made those moments together all the more special.
Though Luca’s life was brief, it was filled with extraordinary love and light. His absence leaves a profound void, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be missed beyond measure and remembered always.
Luca was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Charles Richards. He is survived by his loving parents, Christopher and Brittany; his devoted brother, Arlo; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Suzanne Rose; his maternal grandmother, Mary Richards; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Christopher and Brittany extend their deepest gratitude to the Emergency Room staff at Saratoga Hospital and to the first responders for their compassion, care, and dedicated efforts on Luca’s behalf.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Saratoga Hospital Foundation, Moreau EMS, Signal 30 NYS Troopers Benefit Fund, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s community programs, or Schuylerville youth sports programs.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4-7pm on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs.
A Liturgy of the Word service will begin at 7pm at St. Clement's Church.
Burial will be private.
