Saratoga Springs, NY- Luigi (Lou) Soave, 64, residing in Malta, passed into eternal rest, with his loving wife, Donna Kenney Soave by his side on September 30, 2021 at the Saratoga Hospital.

Lou was born on August 7, 1957 to Rocco and Maria Luigia D'Aquino Soave in Bari, Italy.  He was nine years old when he emigrated to the United States in 1968, proudly acquiring his citizenship in 1980.  Lou graduated from Saratoga High School where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams.

He was the Director of Maintenance for many years at Childs Nursing Home in Albany, NY.  Most recently he worked as a manager at the Soave Faire store in Saratoga Springs.

He was predeceased by his parents, Rocco and Maria.  He is survived by his wife Donna; his siblings, Marta Priesti (Salvatore), Joseph Soave (Sally), Filippo Soave (Pasqua), Vito Soave- who spent many wonderful days with Lou and Donna, Damiano Soave and Teresa Soave.  In addition, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, three step-sons and grandchildren.

Donna would like to thank his best friend of many years, Anthony, for always being there for Lou.  Donna would also like to thank the following medical professionals: Dr. Mustafa, Dr. Laddis, Dr. Rashid, Dr. Hogan and all the nurses and doctors in the ICU unit at Saratoga Hospital.  They provided exceptional care and compassion throughout Lou's hospitalization.  A special thank you to our wonderful neighbors and Park owners who had given us so much appreciated comfort and kindness during this difficult time.
