Obituary
Saratoga Springs, NY - M. Barbara (Hamilton) Scott died peacefully on February 1, 2018 at Granville Center.
Born in Beacon, NY to George and Mary Hamilton, she graduated from Poughkeepsie High School and made her career with the New York Telephone Company. Upon retirement, Barbara served for 22 years as Parish Coordinator of Bethesda Episcopal Church in Saratoga Springs. Barbara was also active in the American Legion Adirondack Post 70 Auxiliary for many years. Lovingly known as "Bobbie" to her family, she enjoyed spending time at Saratoga Lake and
traveling with family and friends. A highlight for her was a trip to the Holy Land in 1994.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, William F. Scott and her sister Elizabeth Steele.
Survivors include her grandniece and grandnephews, Andrew, Katelyn and Timothy Steele, and cousin Joan House.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Embury Apartments, Saratoga County Adult Protective Services, Granville Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, and William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 18 at 11 a.m. in Greenridge Cemetery with The Very Reverend Marshall J. Vang, Interim Rector of Bethesda Episcopal Church, officiating.
