CANANDAIGUA/SARATOGA SPRINGS - Marcia Taylor Penfold died on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs NY, at the age of 80, after a long battle with cancer.

Marcia was a graduate of Irondequoit High School as well as a graduate with her master's degree in teaching from Brockport College.  She taught in the Canandaigua Elementary School system for 10 years and 12 years in Schenectady NY in the Catholic School.  Marcia was a member of Eastern Star and a devoted member of both Saint John's Episcopal Church in Canandaigua as well as her remaining years she spent at Bethesda Episcopal Church in Saratoga Springs. Her greatest pleasures were her children and grandchildren.  She had an amazing "Zest" for life that will forever be missed.

Marcia is survived by her 3 children; Beth (Jeffrey) Kesel of Gorham; sons Thomas Frederick (Kathy) Penfold of Schenectady and Michael (Cynthia Oreson) Penfold of Saratoga Springs; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; nephews Robert & William Taylor of Clifton Springs and niece Jill Kotvis of Dallas Texas.  Marcia is predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Fredrick J. Penfold.

Burial and memorial service will be held at a later date.
