Saratoga Springs, NY - Margaret (James) Camarro, 73, passed away August 24, 2014 at Mary's Haven in Saratoga Springs. The youngest daughter of the late Clement and Isabel (Chase) James, Margaret was born on Warren Street in Saratoga Springs on May 8, 1941. Margaret was a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs and attended Saratoga Springs High School and played the snare drum in the drum corps. She loved to dance, listen to music and spend time with friends. She worked at Tuttle's Bakery in Saratoga Springs and retired after 27 years with Price Chopper on Railroad Place. Margaret was blessed with countless friends throughout Saratoga and the surrounding areas, some going back to her grade school days. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her brothers and sister, Clement "Chic" James, Bernard "Bernie" James, William "Bill" James and Mary (Cis) Walsh. Survivors include her three daughters; Julie (Mark) Mandile of Ledyard, Ct, Jamie Borman (fiancé Paul Arnold) of Louisville, KY, Jacqueline (George) Swinler of Knoxville, TN as well as her brother Thomas (Roberta) James of Saratoga Springs; her grandchildren, James (Jayme), Gregory (Holly), Andrew, Clayton and Brooke as well as three great grandchildren, Ethan, Nicholas and Nathan, many beloved nieces and nephews as well as a very dear friend and neighbor, Gary Wachunas. There was not a day to pass where Margaret was not thinking about her family and loved ones. She had big smile and even bigger heart. Her sincere love was felt by many. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 at 10am in St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, 150 West Ave, Saratoga Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to Mary's Haven, 35 New Street Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Mary's Haven is a Hospice Home through Catholic Charities. The family cannot thank the amazing staff and volunteers (Angels) of Mary's Haven enough. What a blessing it was to have you in our lives at such a difficult time.
