Obituary

Saratoga Springs, NY - Margaret R. Hofmann passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Wesley Health Care Center. She was 94. Born on March 30, 1914 in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gothfred and Mary Haver Hoffman. Margaret was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She loved folk art and painting eggs and especially loved to cook. Margaret was a loving wife and mother and will be missed dearly. In addition to her parents, Margaret is predeceased by her husband, George; five brothers Ted, Joe, Henry, John and George and one sister Mary. Survivors include her two sons, Curtis R. (Sydney) Hofmann of Middle Grove and George (Rita) Hofmann of Gansevoort; two sisters, Ann Hoffman of Philadelphia, PA and Edith Hoffman of Wilkes Barre, PA; six grandchildren, Marcia, Adam, John, Brian (Meryl), Curtis Jr. and Millard (Kathleen); seven great-grandchildren; step-grandsons, Anthony, Michael and Christopher Borchers; several step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 10, 2009 at Middle Grove Cemetery, Middle Grove, NY.
