Saratoga Springs, NY - Margaret A. Manson passed away Saturday July 3, 2010 at Wesley Health Care Center. She was 95. Born February 24, 1915 in Saratoga Springs she is the daughter of the late Rocco and Angeline Pompay Levo. Margaret worked as a knitter for the VanRaalte & Co. in Saratoga Springs. She was a communicant of St. Clement's Church. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband Otto Manson; four sisters, Jenny Arpey, Mamie Verrigni, Jean D'Agostino, Josephine Lanaro; three brothers, Anthony, Albert and Sabbeth Levo. Survivors include one son, John Manson and his partner Jane Malesky of Wilton; three daughters, Loretta Filkins and her husband Paul of Malta, Evelyn Patrick of Mt. Dora, FL., Frances King and her husband Robert of Saratoga Springs; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday July 7, 2010 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Avenue. Burial will be in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Avenue. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway(584-5373). Memorials may be made in Margaret's name to The Wesley Foundation, 131 Lawrence Street or Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
