Saratoga Springs, NY- Margaret E. (Ebert) Neville of Vanderbilt Avenue, passed away unexpectedly Monday (May 3, 2010) at Saratoga Hospital. She was 86. Born on Feb. 5, 1924 in Saratoga Springs, she was a daughter of the late Edward H. and Elizabeth (Clark) Ebert and a 1941 graduate of the former St. Peters Academy. She later attended and graduated from Skidmore College in 1966 and obtained her Masters degree in guidance from SUNY in 1968. Employed by Thompson Laundry for 15 years, she taught for over 19 years at Corinth Central Schools fourth grade and special education, retiring in 1986. Margaret also owned and operated Nevilles Motor Court on Route 9 in Wilton for many years. A parishioner of the Church of St. Peter, she was a long time usher and greeter, Eucharistic Minister to the infirm at Saratoga Hospital and a dedicated bingo worker at the parish's school for many years. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Joseph D. Neville, who died Sept. 4, 1997; two brothers, Howard and James Ebert and three sisters, Caroline Carney, Dorothy Rouse and Elizabeth Hill. Survivors include her four children, Mary Elizabeth Neville of Jamesburg, New Jersey, Joanne F. (Bill) Wildy, Larry (Darlene ) Neville and Donald E. (Ann) Neville; one sister, Lou Yandow and her brother Edward Ebert, all of Saratoga Springs; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Thursday (May 6, 2010) in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway.
