Saratoga Springs, NY - Margaret G. St. George passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. She was 91. Born on Sept. 3, 1923 in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of Charles H., Jr. and Catherine A. (McGuire) Rosseel. She was a graduate of Auburn High School and Becker Jr. College. Margaret was active in church affairs at St. Joseph's Church as C.C.D. teacher, Lector, and Eucharist Minister. She served on numerous church committees over the years. She and her late husband, Charles, enjoyed square dancing, oceanside vacations on Cape Cod and numerous fun-filled family outings on Glen Echo Lake in Charlton. Margaret was employed as a secretary at a number of businesses over the years. At the time of her retirement she was an executive secretary at the Upper Blackstone Water Pollution Abatement District. Margaret is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Charles W. Jr., two sisters, Mary and Ann, and a son-in-law H. James Ryan. Survivors include three daughters, Janet A. Ryan of Wilton, NY, Karen L. (Andrew F.) Lemister of Cooperstown, NY, Patricia E. (Ronald) Bushee of Auburn, MA; five grandchildren, Kimberly M. (Clayton) Knapp, Elizabeth A. Carpenter, Christopher C. Ryan, Andrew C. (Christine) Lemister, Pamela L. Ryan; six great grandchildren, Caleb C. and Zachary A. Carpenter, twins Addison E. and Andrew J. Lemister, Makenna G. and Kassidy M. Knapp and several nieces and nephews. Relative and friends may call from 10 to 11am Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA(508-832-4420). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn, MA. Burial will be in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery, Auburn, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or to the Wesley Foundation, 131 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
