Saratoga Springs, NY - Marguerite R. Rasmussen, 94, passed away quietly October 29, 2011. She had recently been a resident of Saratoga County Maplewood Manor nursing home in Ballston Spa. Marguerite was born February 20, 1917 in Hackensack NJ to Uz and Margaret Ohle. She graduated from the Hackensack NJ schools. She was married to T. Howard Rasmussen for 60 years. Most of her life she lived in River Edge NJ. In 1972, she and Howard moved to Houston TX and later Santa Fe NM. Finally, she joined her daughters family in Saratoga Springs. She was a secretary for several years, ultimately becoming an Administrative Assistant in the Pediatric Research Program at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She was a long-term and very proud member of P.O.E. Marguerite is survived by her granddaughter Rebecca B. Thomas of Vienna Austria; granddaughter Hannah J. Thomas of Perkasie PA; great granddaughter Molly Rose Christopher also of Perkasie and son-in-law John J. Thomas of Saratoga Springs. She is predeceased by her husband T. Howard Rasmussen and daughters Margaret O. Rasmussen and Barbara R. Thomas.
