Saratoga Springs, NY- Marianne McCarthy, 68 years old, died at Saratoga Hospital on February 20, 2018 after a brave fight against cancer. She was surrounded by her children and beloved sister. Marianne was born in Albany, New York but lived in Saratoga Springs for the last 45 years.
Many people will remember Marianne as an always cheerful face at the Adirondack Trust Company where she worked for over 25 years at nearly all of their locations but lastly at the Wilton branch where she was the assistant branch manager. She loved and was loved by her colleagues and customers.
She grew to find comfort in her faith and attended St. Mary's Church in Ballston Spa. Going there because it reminded her of the church she attended as a little girl. She was an animal lover and cared for her rescued cats. Otherwise you could find her bird watching, reading or knitting.
Marianne loved nothing as much as being with her family. She will be remembered as a devoted daughter, loving sister, caring mother, and a proud Nana, She is survived by her daughter Shannon McCarthy and son-in-law Chris Wilson; son Kyle McCarthy of Saratoga Springs; son Eric McCarthy, daughter-in-law Carolin Beine, and grandson Anton Beine-McCarthy of Sleepy Hollow, New York; and her sister Joanne Green and brother-in-law John Green of The Villages, Florida.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4-6pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 with a funeral service to follow at 6pm at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373).
Burial will be held in the spring at the family plot in Maplewood Cemetery.
