Saratoga Springs, NY – Marie Linda Farro Spofford joined her mom and dad in heaven on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018. She was 70 years old.

Marie was born in Coblerskill, NY, daughter of the late James and Dorothy Vivian Hoyt Farro. Raised in Sharon Springs, she graduated from Sharon Springs Central School. In 1968 she married Joe (Joseph) Spofford and they had one daughter, Lisa Marie Spofford. Marie was very pleased that she was able to realize both her long term goals, being married to Joe for over 50 years and raising their daughter to adulthood.

Marie worked outside the home for ten years, including White Sulphur Baths, Inc., Beech-Nut, Inc., Squaw Valley Lodge, Windfall Merchadise and Walmart. She loved all animals, especially cats, whales and other marine life.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law Homer Todd Spofford and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include her husband Joe, daughter Lisa, her grandkitties; sister Joyce Dorothy Farro (Phyllis Stevens) of Chapel Hill, NC; brother Lawrence James (Sally) Farro of Silver Springs, FL; sister-in-law Louise Spofford of Sanford, NC; brother-in-law Timothy C. (Kathy) Spofford of Savannah, GA; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nephews.

At Marie's request there will be no public calling hours or services.

Donations may be made in Marie's memory to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 6010 County Farm Rd., Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
