Obituary

Saratoga Springs, NY- Marilyn (Mary Ellen) Kearney Moseman (89) passed away peacefully at her home with her beloved husband Bill and family at her side including her cherished dog, Lass on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Born October 8, 1935, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Nicholas Edward and Mary Ellen (Woodcock) Kearney.

She graduated from St. Peters Academy and was a lifelong resident of the Saratoga area. After graduation, she was employed by the New York Telephone Company leaving to focus on raising her growing family.

In her earlier years you would find her at the Victorian Pool in the Spa Park with her friends or hanging out downtown at Dan's or the Candy Kitchen.

Marilyn married her best friend Bill and built a joyous life together, raising their six children in their 70 years of marriage.

Family oriented summer vacations included filling their station wagon with the kids and sometimes their friends (the more the merrier) and heading to the New Jersey shore at Wildwood. In later years they vacationed in Aruba enjoying rest and relaxation.

Marilyn also loved her life-long animal companions including many horses and dogs. She had a special fondness for her Collies.

Marilyn embraced the electronic digital age with ease and mastered cell phones and social media. Crafting, scrapbooking, knitting and sewing were among her many talents. She loved photography and had countless cherished photos of family, friends, vacations and special places they visited.

Marilyn's life was exemplified by her deep Christian faith, kindhearted soul and willingness to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. The yearly visits to St. Anne's Shrine were one of the favorite trips with her husband. She will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Bill (William), their six children, Sharon (Rick) Film, William Moseman Jr., John Moseman, Mary Ann (Pete) Nicholas, Michael (Tammy) Moseman, Tim (Michelle) Moseman, her brother Patrick (Montra) Kearney, nephew Nicholas (Lisa) Kearney, and her seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her nephew Patrick James Kearney and daughter in law Patricia (Allen) Moseman.
