Saratoga Springs, NY - Marion Marotto 84, passed away, after a brief illness, Monday morning February 9, 2015. Born in Schenectady on August 2, 1930 she was the daughter of Nicholas and Helen Ferraro. Marion graduated from Mont Pleasant High School before attending St. Joseph Nursing School in Yonkers NY where she received a degree and worked as an LPN at St. Claire's and Ellis Hospital. She also worked for the General Electric Company where she was president of the GE Woman's Club. Later employed as a case worker for Schenectady Social Services, she retired from there after nearly twenty years. Marion was an avid reader and active in numerous organizations including the Ladies Of The Red Hats as well as the Catholic Church. Survivors include her son Michael Marotto of San Diego, her daughter Janet Stone of Saratoga Springs, her beloved grandchildren Jackson Stone and Aubrey Stone, her sisters Fay Di Mascio and Bonita Friello, her brothers Anthony, Nick, Richard, Joseph, Johnny, and Louis Ferraro as well as several nieces and nephews.
