Saratoga Springs - Marion J. OConnor, passed away peacefully May 1, 2009 at Saratoga Hospital Hospice of complications from COPD. She was 96. Born in Schenectady, she was a longtime resident of Saratoga, she is survived by her son Rory and his significant other Catherine Howard, two Grandchildren, Colleen OConnor-Potter of Saratoga, and Jennifer OConnor Brown of Ballston Spa. She was the proud Great Grandmother of Meagan and Griffin Potter, Grace OConnor and Molly Brown. A retired NYS employee, Marion was involved in volunteer work at Saratoga Hospital for years, as well as her many activities in both the Eastern Star and Amaranth. In her later years she enjoyed her family, reading, and her beloved NY Yankees. A celebration of her life will be held for family and friends on Tuesday (May 5, 2009) from 6-8pm from the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway(584-5373) . The Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Wesley Health Care Center, in her name, would be appreciated.
