Saratoga Springs, NY - Marion Sephas entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 2, 2012 at her home in Saratoga Springs. Born on July 6, 1934 in Ellenwood, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Leslie and Lillie Mae Leslie. Marion moved to Gloversville, NY in 1947 and graduated from Gloversville High School in 1954. She also married Kenneth Sephas of Saratoga Springs in 1954. During Marion's lifetime she had many jobs, including 26 years at the Saratoga Harness Track, 9 years as an Attendant at the Roosevelt Baths and various cook jobs in Saratoga Springs including Jimmy's Diner on Congress Street. She enjoyed bingo, cooking for neighborhood children, taking care of her grandchildren, attending yard sales and had a great love for casinos. In addition to her parents, Marion is predeceased by her brother, Milton Leslie, a grandson Anthony Rawlins and several other loved ones. Marion was the mother of five children, Valerie Sephas of Augusta Ga, Kathleen Sephas of Albany NY, Kenneth Jr. of Saratoga Springs, Barry and his wife Estella of LasVegas, NV and Andrew and his wife Heather of Saratoga Springs. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; her husband Kenneth Sephas Sr.; four brothers, Henry (Ethelene) Leslie, Thomas Leslie, Stanley Leslie and James (Catherine) Brown; two sisters, Christine (Benjamin) Hall, Gloria Hall and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6pm Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Presbyterian-New England Congregational Church, 24 Circular St., Saratoga Springs. Funeral services will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205.
