Saratoga Springs - Marion C. Sullivan passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at the Saratoga Hospital. She was 89. Born on December 3, 1919 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Gus and Corrinne (Condon) Elsasser. She is the wife of the late William Sullivan. Marion graduated from NYU with a Bachelors' Degree in social work. She was employed by the Department of Social Services of New York City. She was a devout communicant of St. Clement's Church and a member of the Rosary and Altar Societies. She loved spending time at their farm house in Easton on Willard Mountain before moving to Saratoga. Marion loved life and her family beyond measure. She adored her two grandsons, Chris and Brian, and her two great grandsons, Ricky and David. She was an integral part of her family's lives on a daily basis. She touched everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her daughter Karen and husband John Peoples of Wilton, her two grandsons, Christopher and wife Kim Gimbel of Wilton, Brian and wife Samantha of Stuttgart, Germany and great grandchildren Ricky and David Gimbel of Wilton. She is predeceased by her brother Charles Elsasser. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. with Rev. Paul J. Borowski, C.Ss.R. officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Greenwich Cemetery.
