Greenfield, NY - Marjorie Helen (Stiles) Petro passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at her home. She was 89. Born Sept. 7, 1922 in Greenfield she was the daughter of the late George and Bessie (Williams) Stiles and lived her entire life in the house she was born in. She was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and worked 35 years for the Van Raalte Knitting Mill, retiring in 1976. Marjorie loved to play cards and collect stuffed animals. She was also known by her many nicknames, "Butch", "Sis" and "EE". She was a member of the Community Chapel of West Glens Falls ,the Wilton Grange #1105 and the Wilton Heritage Society. In addition to her parents, Marjorie is predeceased by her loving husband Adam Petro who passed away in Dec. 1977 and her five siblings, LeRoy, Dorothy, Robert, Mildred and James. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, David (Kim) Hyde and Linda Leonard all of Saratoga Springs, Sharon (Joe) Nigro and Bruce Stiles of Tennessee and many great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 4pm to 6pm Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway.
