Ballston Spa, NY - Martha Mary (DeCora) Wait, formerly of Stonequist Apts., passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Maplewood Manor. She was 109 years old. Born on Aug. 2, 1902 in Wilton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Theresa (Coy) DeCora and at the time of her passing, was the oldest living resident of Saratoga County. At one time she had worked as a clerk for the G.F. Harvey Pharmaceutical Company and Breslaw's, both in Saratoga Springs. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Theresa (Tess) Woods and Ruth Goodhart; her daughters, Jean Kroll and Martha Remington and her two husbands, Ivan Schultz and Waldo "Pete" Wait. Survivors include her brother, Edmund DeCora of Star Lake, NY; three grandsons, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Monday, July 16, 2012 in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, by the Rev. Dominic S. Ingemie, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at Greenridge Cemetery on Lincoln Avenue. There will be no public calling hours. Online remembrances may be made at www.burkefuneralhome.com.
