Saratoga Springs, NY - Mary A. Allen of Kirby Rd. passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 at Saratoga Hospital. She was 81. Born on March 17, 1930 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Catherine (Hogan) Gailor. Mary worked as an aide at the Wilton Developmental Center and enjoyed operating Aunt Lucy's Chicken House on the corner of Woodlawn & Division Street in the 1960s. Mary was a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs, who was always appreciated by family, friends, neighbors - and even strangers - for her kind heart, generous spirit and friendly conversation. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her daughter Donna (John) Iuliucci; her husbands, James Mulholland who was the father of her children, Robert Wendell and Richard Allen; her siblings, Wallace, Earl, James, Charles, John, Helen, Catherine (Cookie) Gailor, and Laura (Arlene) Riddle. Survivors include her son, Dennis Mulholland; 4 grandchildren, Tina Taylor (Lamont), Emily, Lesley and Elizabeth Mulholland; 3 great-grandchildren, Kari, Dylan, and Giada; siblings, Frances Gailor, Margaret Grant, Maude (George) Maloney, Charlotte (Richard) Collins, Harvey Gailor, Fred (Beverly) Gailor, Daniel(Mae) Gailor and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 6pm to 8pm Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A funeral service will be conducted at 10am Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at the funeral home by the Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. The family would like to thank the Rubin Dialysis Center, Dr. Daoui, and the Saratoga Springs Hospital nursing staff on floor D1 and in the ICC Unit for their compassion and exceptional care during this difficult time.
