Saratoga Springs – Mary (Terry) J. Calkins, 97, passed away peacefully December 31, 2025 at the Home of the Good Shepherd in Saratoga Springs.

Terry was born on March 2, 1928 in Utica, NY. She was the beloved daughter of the late John and Frances Buckley. In Utica she attended school and met the love of her life, Roger, at Utica College. They were married for 69 years until his passing in 2023. In 1966 they moved to Clifton Park, then in 1989 to Saratoga Lake, then Prestwick Chase from 2019-2023.

Terry and Roger enjoyed traveling in the U.S., mostly Maine and vacationing in Long Boat Key, Florida during the winter months. They especially enjoyed their time spent with their loving family and friends. Terry was very active and social in many various clubs and organizations in Saratoga Springs.

In addition to her parents and husband, Terry was predeceased by her brother Francis Buckley, daughter-in-law Susie Calkins and son-in-law William Soltren.

Terry is survived by her four children; Daniel Calkins, Diane (Vinnie) Dehmer, James (Ann) Calkins and Kathleen Soltren; nine grandchildren; Heather (Mike) Brandt, Bethany (Rick) Burroughs, Tyler (Sierra) Dehmer, Corinne (Brad) Calkins, Andrew, Sean and Cameron Calkins, Ryan (Nikki) Toto and Kevin (Chole) Calkins and ten great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call from 11am-12pm, Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm.

Burial will follow at 1:30pm at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville, NY.
