Saratoga Springs, NY Mary E. Convery of Maple Ave. passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Saratoga Hospital. She was 95. Born April 28, 1913 in Jankovce, Austria Hungary, she is the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Fecenko) Hlavaty. Mary worked for 36 years for VanRaalte Knitting Mill located in Saratoga. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with her family. Mary was a member of St. Clements Church. In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her husband, George Convery who died in 1998; her son Robert Convery who died in 1989 and two sisters, Anna Wells who died in 1997 and Helen Hlavaty who died in 2006. Survivors include her three grandchildren, Donna Thomson (Glen) of Ft. Edward, John Convery (Michelle) of Green Bay, WI, Kathy Brown (William) of Hudson Falls; four great-grandchildren, Jason and Matthew Thomson, Blaise Convery, Garrett Hansen; two great-great-grandchildren, Mia Convery, Bailey Hansen; three sisters, Susan Morehouse (Ken), Katherine Welch of Saratoga Springs, Veronica Flewelling of Corinth; one brother, William Watulak (Beverly) of Corinth; daughter-in-law, Anna Mae Convery and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 11am Thursday, August 7. 2008 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373) followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the family plot at Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, NY.
