Mechanicville, NY - Mary D. "Sissy" Sipperly of Saratoga Ave. passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy, NY. She was 83. Born on March 3, 1926 in Mechanicville, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Mary T. "Mamie" Weaver Sipperly. "Sissy" was a lifelong resident of Mechanicville and a graduate of Mechanicville High School. She attended Mildred Elley School in Albany and worked for many years as a secretary for New York State Department of Commerce. In addition to her parents, "Sissy" is predeceased by her sister Rita. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at Assumption-St. Paul Church, Main St., Mechanicville.
