Saratoga Springs, New York Mary Dreyer passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at her home in Saratoga Springs. She was 55. Mary was born in Glen Cove, NY on September 28, 1952. She graduated from Colby College in 1974, where she belonged to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and Albany Law School in 1982. She practiced law in Albany and Saratoga Springs until 1992 when she retired from practice to raise her three beloved children. Mary is survived by her children, Emily of San Francisco, CA and Will and Paul of Saratoga Springs, her four sisters, Karen, Nina, Sally and Vickery Eckhoff, and her step mother, Gai Eckhoff of Stuyvesant Falls, NY. Mary had a life long love of and devotion to Lake George. For several years she was executive director of the fund for Lake George. She was active until her death in environmental causes related to the lake. She loved her familys camp on Tongue Mountain and their summer home at Bolton Landing. She was an avid sailor and was also a devoted long distance runner. A memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family at the end of the summer in Lake George.
