Utica, NY- Mary L. Eichler, 89, formerly of Saratoga Springs, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica, NY.
Born in Saratoga Springs, NY, on June 22, 1928, she was the daughter of the late, Francis and Frances (Sesellman) Cherry.
Mary resided in Saratoga Springs and Wilton for 84 years before moving to Cary, N.C. for the last six years of her life. She was just honored at a surprise 90th birthday in Saratoga Springs attended by over 60 friends and relatives. Mary was a happy go lucky person who loved her family and totally supported her friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husbands, Tony Eichler and Jack Britten.
Survivors include her five children, Don ( Patsy) Britten of Saratoga, Dave (Toni) Britten of New Hartford, Barbara (Jim) Day of Cary N.C., Jackie (Tom) Hoefs of Arlington, V.A. and Sherry Britten of Cary N.C.; ten grandchildren, Matt, Dan, Adam, Erica, Abby, Greg, Brittany, Shannon, Tiffany and Justin; eleven great grandchildren, Matty, Alexis, Max, Drew, Evan, Kaylee, Mackenzie, Madison, Julia, Connor and Mason along with three nieces, Karen Toomey, Cheryl Weinstein and Kath Decone.
A funeral service will be conducted at 9am Friday, June 22, 2018 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.
The family would like to thank Dr. Fred Talarico and nurses, Samantha and Corey, who were very compassionate and caring, as well as the whole staff at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Utica.
