Saratoga Springs - Mary Burke Fitzsimmons, a devoted wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born and raised in Saratoga Springs, New York, Mary was the daughter of the late David W. Burke and Catherine Conlon Burke. She was predeceased by her beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, John Burke (Pat), David Burke, and Michael Burke (Cathy).

Mary earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Niagara University in 1957 and dedicated much of her professional life to public health, serving Montgomery County, Maryland. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted Catholic whose life reflected quiet service and enduring grace.

In retirement, Mary found joy in time shared with loved ones at her homes in Tequesta, Florida, and Saratoga Springs, where her roots always remained strong. Her warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jack Fitzsimmons; daughter, Therese Fitzsimmons, her partner, Rich Pascale; son, David Fitzsimmons, his wife, Erin; and her beloved grandsons, Jack (Trenton), Paul, Joe (Laura), and Matt. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Anne Burke and Diana Burke, along with a large extended family and many cherished friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY, followed by a Catholic Prayer Service at 12:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.  An "Irish Wake" will follow at Harvey's Restaurant on Phila Street from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
