Saratoga Springs Mary H. (Capone) Flanders, of Elm Street, passed away Friday (Feb. 27, 2009) at Saratoga Hospital. She was 82. Born on Sept. 11, 1926 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Philomena (Arpey) Capone and was a lifelong resident. Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Harry) Smith of Saratoga Springs and Cynthia Campney of Ballston Spa; three grandchildren, Colleen, Casey and Benjamin; three great-grandchildren, Mia, Molly and Meara and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the widow of the late Donald E. Flanders, who died Oct. 12, 2007. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am Wednesday in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, by Father Dominic S. Ingemie, pastor. Burial will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville. There are no calling hours.
