Saratoga Springs, NY - Mary E. Gallamore died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa. She was 84. Born June 2, 1928 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Clara McCormack McNulty. Mary grew up on the family farm in Java Center, NY where she met the love of her life, Bill Gallamore while buying chicken feed at the local feed mill that he managed. She attended college and received a Bachelor's degree in elementary education. Mary last taught at the Holy Family Catholic School in Watertown, NY. She moved often around the state as her husband was a Cooperative Extension Dairy Specialist. They last resided in Adams, NY. Mary was a 30 year leader in 4-H where she taught sewing and leather work. In addition, Mary enjoyed sewing, making her and her husband's clothes, leatherworking, vegetable gardening, picking and then canning strawberry jam. She was a parishioner of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Adams, NY. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband William Gallamore who passed away in 2000. She is survived by her son, Robert Gallamore and his wife Shelli Bregman and new grandson, John Andrew Gallamore (Jack) of Syracuse, NY; daughter Patty Battesh of Saratoga Springs; grandchildren, Eric Battesh of Stamford, CT, Jeremy Battesh of Groton, CT and Ted Battesh of Saratoga Springs. A special thanks to her daughter Patty and the loving and caring staff at Maplewood Manor for caring for Mary in the declining years. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 9pm Friday, December 21, 2012 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway 584-5373. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Saturday, December 22, 2012 in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, by the Rev. Dominic S. Ingemie, pastor. Burial will be private.
