Saratoga Springs, NY - Mary Theresa Williams Ryan of Trottingham Road, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital. She is 73. Born on May 13, 1941 in Troy, NY, she is a daughter of the late George C. and Mary C. (O'Brien) Williams, Sr. A graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy, she attended the Russell Sage Evening Division. Employed by the Saratoga Springs Public Library for 23 years, she retired eleven years ago as Supervisor of the Circulation desk. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, including her six grandchildren and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Ballston Spa. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, George C. Williams, Jr., and John R. Williams. Survivors include her husband of 51 ½ years, Joseph J. Ryan, whom she married on Dec. 15, 1962; four children, Deborah M. (husband, Joseph) Sorrentino of Buffalo and Michael (wife, Holly) Ryan, Kristin A. Ryan and Jill S. (husband, Brian) McCoskey, all of Saratoga Springs; six grandchildren, Amanda and Sarah Ryan, Blade and Chase Sorrentino and Megan and Ryan McCoskey; two sisters-in-law, Lois Williams and Kathy Ryan; one brother-in-law, James Ryan and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway 584-5373. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Monday, July 14, in St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Ave., Ballston Spa, by the Rev. Thomas J. Kelly, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Avenue.
