Saratoga Springs - Mary E. Suttile, formerly of Woodlawn Ave., passed away Tuesday (Mar. 24, 2009) at Wesley Health Care Center. She was 93. Born on Dec. 26, 1915 in Stamford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. Donahue and Margaret (Walsh) Donahue. She was also predeceased by her husband, Salvatore J. Suttile, who died June 11, 1986. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sally and M. James Higgins of Saratoga Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph E. and Sandie Suttile of Darien, CT and Frank D. and Eleanor Suttile of Woodbury, CT; one brother, Edward J. Donahue, Jr., of Bakersfield, CA; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family in the Church of St. Peter by Father Michael J. Cambi, associate pastor. It was her wish that there are no public calling hours. The family is most grateful to Dr. John Cetner, the staff at Woodlawn Commons, the staff at 2 Victoria at Wesley Health Care Center and the staff and volunteers at Hospice of Saratoga. All lovingly assisted our Nan as she lived her days gracefully in this wonderful sanctuary that was her final earthly home. Memorials may be made in her name to the Wesley Health Care Center Foundation, 131 Lawrence St., or Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
