Ballston Spa, NY - Mary Helen Tarity, formerly of Gansevoort, passed away Monday (Sept. 28, 2009) at Maplewood Manor. She was 89. Born on Sept. 18, 1920 in Pittson, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Edward and Helen (Stott) Baker. She was a graduate of St. Baker School of Nursing in Buffalo, NY, specializing in pediatric nursing. A homemaker, she was married to Michael R. Tarity, who died May 23, 1988. She was also predeceased by two brothers. She is survived by two daughters and six sons, including her son and daughter-in-law, T. David and Dianne Tarity of Ballston Spa; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two sisters and one brother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Saturday in St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 South Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA. Burial will follow in the family plot at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem Township, PA. Calling hours will be Friday at the James J.
