Saratoga Springs- MaryLou Greenleaf died Friday morning, July 4, 2008 at her home following a long illness. She was 57. Born May 24, 1951 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Doyle Doubleday. MaryLou graduated from Schuylerville High School in 1973. She then worked as a secretary for Empire State College, retiring in 1988 due to health reasons. MaryLou loved to read and write poetry, bake and entertain friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her father-in-law, Charles Greenleaf. MaryLou is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, William G. Greenleaf and their daughter Catlin Greenleaf of Saratoga Springs, two brothers; James Doubleday and his wife Sherry and Thomas Doubleday, one sister; Nancy Johansen and her husband David all of Schuylerville, mother-in-law; Betty Travis Greenleaf of Saratoga Springs, two sister-in-laws; Rev. Susan Ruggles and her husband Roger of Easton, PA, Shari Greenleaf of Schenectady and one brother-in-law, Dennis Greenleaf and his wife Terri of Saratoga Springs. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00am on Sat. July 12, 2008 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, 149 Lake Ave. with the Rev. James Jaekel officiating. Private burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing &Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway(584-5373).
