Saratoga Springs, NY - Maureen N. Morris of Saratoga Springs NY formerly of Carriere, MS, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011. She was 85. She was born to Harry J. Douglas and Winifred Heard Douglas in Ottawa, Canada and is predeceased by her husband of 64 years William J. Morris Sr., who died in 2006. While residing in Mississippi she was involved in the Byrd Chapel, United Methodist Church of Carriere, MS. Survived by three sons, William. J. (Linda) Morris Jr. of Clifton Park, NY, John J. (Frances) Morris of Cleveland, TN. Douglas R. (W. Kaye) of Paris, TX., six grandchildren, Stephen, Kevin, Timothy, Kirsten, Jason and Christie, and 6 great grandchildren Benjamin, Andrew, Katelyn, Elizabeth, Victoria and Marianna, and many close friends from her many years in Mississippi. Services will be at the William. J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373) with visitation for family and friends on Tuesday April 12, 2011 from 10:00am 12:00pm. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery on Weibel Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY, followed with a memorial service for all of her new friends and family of Woodlawn Commons.
