Stillwater, NY - On Sunday January 6, 2019, Michael P. Ahern was unfairly taken from his family and friends due to a violent crime. Michael was only 42 years old and a father of 3.

He was born on October 14, 1976 at Saratoga Hospital. Growing up in Stillwater, Michael stayed there for most of his life other than his many out of town trips for work.

A graduate of Stillwater High School, Michael went on to be a general contractor and a jack of all trades. From underground cable to roofing, building houses and running heavy equipment there wasn't anything he couldn't do.

Michael had a passion for motorcycles, owning several throughout his life. He also loved his dog Mikey, who was his best friend. He enjoyed Stewart's ice cream and coffee very much. Michael also liked hunting when he had the time. Although he was mostly a homebody, he did enjoy his travels to Alaska and Mexico and looked forward to going back again someday. He was known for his quick wit and infectious smile.

Michael was preceded in death by his father Mike; his grandparents Richard and Shirley; and his uncle Philip. He is survived by his mother Shirley Ahern, who he loved dearly; his sisters Jennifer Ahern, Elizabeth Ahern, Ann Marie Laux (Andrew); brother Justin Ahern; his children Michael, Samantha and Rylie; nephews Nicholas, Lukas, and Leo; nieces Kallie, Anna-Lyn, and Lilly-Mae; and cousin Jessica. In addition, Michael is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
