Saratoga Springs, NY - Michael E. Donnelly of Hathorn Blvd., passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at his residence. He was 58. Born on Aug. 5, 1952 in Cold Spring, NY, he was a son of the late David and Gertrude (Coleman) Donnelly. Following the death of his father, Michael was raised by his loving stepfather, Thomas Butch Harris. A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelors degree in Nuclear Engineering and a Masters degree in Business Administration, he worked as a nuclear engineer for Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Niskayuna, NY, retiring on January 31, 2011. Survivors include his two children, Christian Donnelly of Saratoga Springs and Amanda Donnelly of Raleigh, NC and their mother Donna, also of North Carolina; two sisters, Deborah Flaherty of Cold Spring , NY and Judy Shroba of Sleepy Hollow, NY and several nieces and nephews . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am Saturday at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany Street, Schenectady, by the Rev. Peter N. Pagones, pastor.
