Gansevoort, NY - Michael D. Morgan, Sr. of Hammond Lane passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at his home. He was 52. Born July 26, 1957 he is the son of William E. Morgan of Wilton and the late Alice Morehouse Morgan. Michael enjoyed the outdoors and fishing, as well as cooking, playing the lottery and country music. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his mother he is predeceased by a grandson, Lucas Blais. Along with his father, survivors include his loving wife of ten years, Heidi Whipple Morgan of Gansevoort; a son, Michael Morgan Jr. and his fianc Dana Nichols of Wilton; three step-children, Todd Hill of Hawaii, Amanda Hill and Johnathan (Tracy) Hill of Wilton; nine grandchildren. Alyssa, Austin, Kayla, Samuel, Kierra and Anna Hill, Alise and Taylor Morgan and Brianna Morgan Blais who was born on Michael's birthday; brothers and sisters, William (Tammy) Morgan, Anthony (Michelle) Morgan all of Wilton, Edward Morgan of Schuylerville, Amanda (Edward) Walsh of Halfmoon, Christina (Fred) Nickerson of Johnsonville; four brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8pm Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A celebration of Michael's life will be at 10am Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 at the funeral home with The Rev'd Canon Thomas T. Parke , Rector, Bethesda Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Gurn Springs Cemetery, Wilton. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Maple Ave. Fire Dept. after the services.
