IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michelle A.
Brennan
October 4, 1973 – April 19, 2023
Sadly, Michelle Brennan, 49, of Saratoga Springs, NY passed away on April 19, 2023.
Born on October 4, 1973, in Gowanda, NY, she was the daughter of Timothy Howard and Catherine Howard.
Michelle grew up in Perrysburg, NY, graduating from Immaculata High School in Hamburg, NY. She earned a bachelor's degree from Saint Bonaventure University and studied for her Master's degree at SUNY Albany.
After completing her education Michelle had a long and successful career in the Finance/Retirement industry. She spent many years at the Newkirk company where she developed friendships and relationships with her contemporaries that thrive until this day. When Newkirk was eventually purchased by DST Systems, she continued her professional journey and developed similar relationships with her contemporaries there. She loved the folks she worked with and will be sorely missed.
Michelle loved her family and her many friends more than anything. She loved nothing more in this world than her beloved son, Neil. Michelle was always looking to do some random act of kindness, she loved entertaining and "get togethers" with family and friends. She enjoyed her time with the "henhouse" (a group of local women who were always up to something), and "The Ladies of the Lake" (another group of local women who enjoyed each other's company).
Together with her husband, Bill and often her son, Neil they embarked on adventures near and far. Michelle enjoyed many wonderful times in the Adirondacks where they own a little cabin in the woods, north of Long Lake. She was a member of the Robinwood Club for more than two decades and enjoyed all the wonderful folks in the club. Michelle loved Alaska and her annual trips up to the "Great land" and eventually hoped to retire there. She also loved Cabo San Lucas which was usually an annual foray as well. Music was a big part of her life and she loved bluegrass and attending festivals with family and friends. She loved her Chesapeake Bay retrievers, and her home was never long without a dog. Michelle loved her dogs but perhaps none more than Hannah, who was a ringbearer at her wedding, and predeceased her.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Bill Brennan; son, Neil Brennan, mother, Catherine Howard; father, Timothy Howard, his wife Sue Howard; several siblings and their spouses, Danny Howard (Michelle), Lori Locker (Jim), David Howard (Vince) and step sister, Erica Cino (Joe); nephews and nieces, Althea, Eudora, Taylor, McKenzie, Gehrig, Wyatt, Patrick, Isabelle, and Sophie whom she loved unconditionally and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday April 27 or from 5-7:30 pm on Friday April 28, at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
