Saratoga Springs, NY - Michelle Meisburger passed away on Thursday January 26, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was 64.

Michelle was born in Saratoga Springs on November 10th, 1952 to parents Harold "Nicky" Nichols and Dawn Urben. She was a longtime resident of Saratoga graduating from Saratoga Springs High School in 1970 and working in the Saratoga City School District as a cook manager for many years. Cooking was a passion of hers and like many things in life she excelled at what she did. Her talent was endless, whether it was sweeping Jeopardy in a given night to whipping up a dish for dinner that belonged on the Food Network.  Michelle also had a passion for reading.  James Patterson was her favorite author and it was easy for Michelle to knock off two books in a day.  She also admired her teacup collection, as well as, coffee mugs from across the United States.

Michelle was a devoted mother, daughter, wife, sister and aunt. The amount of unconditional love she showed to everyone was remarkable and truly touched the lives of so many people. She was always there for you to give great advice or just tell a funny joke which would leave you in hysterics. Her sense of humor was second to none and was always able to put a smile on your face. She can truly be called an inspiration and a hero to many people for her resiliency and overall positive attitude. Michelle will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.

A special thanks to the many doctors that cared for Michelle over the years including Dr. Brian Izzo, Dr. Desmond DelGiacco, Dr. Roland Phillips, Dr. John Assini, Dr. Richard Bryan, Dr. Alan Boulos and Dr. Mark Doyle. All of your care was top notch and she loved spending time with each of you.

Survivors include her son, Peter W. Meisburger of Gansevoort; mother Dawn McMahon of Saratoga Springs; brothers Mark D. Holiday of Saratoga Springs and Mike (Robin) Nichols of Wilton; sister Melody Holiday of Florida; nieces Miranda Luman and Ariana Scheidt; nephews Eric, David and Ryan Nichols as well as great nephew Brandin Luman and great niece Raygen Luman. She is predeceased by her husband Pete Meisburger of Saratoga Springs who passed away on October 20th, 2002.

Services will be private but all are welcome to join us the night of Tuesday January 31st from 6-9 at the Barrelhouse, 68 Beekman Street, Saratoga Springs to celebrate Michelle's life and to enjoy all the great memories.
