Saratoga Springs, NY - Mildred R. Housekeeper Allen, 78, passed into the arms of the Lord, on October 18, 2021. Daughter of the late Albert and Mary Housekeeper of New Egypt NJ, she passed away at her daughter April and Joe Cilione's (of Saratoga Springs) home.
Mildred, born April 17, 1943 in Allentown NJ. Graduated from Allentown High School in 1962, with honor certificates for choral and Library (4 years). Before moving to NY, she worked in banking and secretarial duties.
When in NY, she worked for VanRaalte, Empire State College, then Saratoga Gaming and Raceway for 35 years. A job she truly loved, working with the horsemen and horses.
Millie had many things that she loved. She was an avid Wheel of Fortune "watcher" and believed she was the Yankees manager, and loved being down the shore at Long Beach Island, NJ.
She is survived by her children April (Joseph), Saratoga Springs NY; David J. Allen (Melody), Denton, NC and Ronald (Chrissy), Schuylerville, NY. Grandchildren Ryan (Nicki), Saratoga Springs NY; Tyler, Rachel and Ronnie of Schuylerville, NY and Andrew of Denton, NC. A sister, Bertha Stanziale, Hightstown, NJ a brother, Ronald Housekeeper, Snellville, Ga and her faithful Yorki, Buddy.Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, David; Emily Wiberg, Whitings NJ; Mable Notorangelo, Somerset, NJ; Gertrude Allen, Whitings NJ and a brother, George of Cocca, GA. Millie has many loving nieces, nephews and friends in the harness racing industry.
The love and joy for her family and grandchildren was never a doubt, she was loved by many near and far.
The family wishes to thank Lisa, Alice and Donna of Community Hospice of Saratoga County for their kindness and support, as well as Dr. Pezzulo, with a huge thanks to April and the rest of the family.
A funeral home service will take place at 1:00PM on Friday, October 22, 2021 at The William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (518-584-5373). Followed by burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Saratoga Springs, NY.
