Saratoga Springs, NY- Nancy Ann Maloney passed away peacefully at home on the evening of April 16th, 2026 surrounded by family.
Nancy, the daughter of Michael and JoAnn Maloney, was a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs. After graduating from Saratoga High, her path led her to Wildwood on the Jersey Shore where she trained and worked as a bartender. Later, she honed her bartending skills at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City. It was there that she met her lifelong best friend, Nancy Vasta. The two vacationed together through the years, talked on the phone every Sunday morning, and shared a passion for gambling and visiting casinos around the country.
Nancy was blessed to become a mother in her fortieth year, welcoming her son Sandy Michael Campoli to the world in 1992. Motherhood was her proudest achievement. Annual trips to Disney World in Florida were enjoyed over the years when Sandy was young.
Following Sandy's birth, Nancy came home to Saratoga to raise her son as a single working mom. She first worked as a bartender at her sister Kelly and brother-in-law Garry's family restaurant and brewery (Brown's Brewing Co.), then spent the bulk of her career as the company's office manager under Garry's guidance. She exhibited loyalty, honesty, and responsibility in her job and was always so proud of the company's success.
Nancy was generous and loving to everyone she held close. She enjoyed many vacations with her good friend Kate Bishop and Kate's family to the Outer Banks. Nancy was a devoted daughter who cooked and cared for her parents Mike and JoAnn, doing anything and everything to help them age in place at their Saratoga home, 142 East Avenue.
Nancy "retired" from Brown's only to return and help roll homemade Oatmeal Stout pretzels for the taprooms every Tuesday. She would often mention that her Tuesdays were a chance to spend time with the working members of the Brown family, her nieces, Abby and Nora, and sister, Kelly.
She loved life's simple pleasures - a great meal shared with friends, a ride and shopping trip, playing Wordle daily with her friend group, sharing a recipe, and a delicious margarita. Nancy was an animal lover and could always be happily caught feeding treats from the family table to the Brown family's Jack Russel Terriers Moose, Willa, and Pippa.
In the summer of 2025, the devastating news of advanced-stage lung cancer arrived, and Nancy courageously began treatments at Memorial Sloan Kettering under the care plan of Dr. Charles Rudin and his assistant, Maureen English.
In September, she began radiation treatments with her son Sandy by her side. Nancy was so grateful for the numerous professionals at MSK and trusted them implicitly. Nancy was blessed to have a local team of health care professionals as well led by Dr. John Pezzulo of Saratoga Hospice and Palliative Care. All her health care teams provided her with comfort, excellent care, and above all, hope.
Nancy is survived by her son Sandy Campoli; sister Kelly Brown; brother-in-law Garry Brown; nieces Abigail, Nora, and Mageean (Maggie) Brown; second mother Doris Mageean Brown; good friend Kate Bishop; and first cousins Diane, Keith, and Chris Cummings. Nancy was predeceased by her parents Michael and JoAnn Maloney, her sister Marcia Szochet, her best friend Nancy Vasta, and her longtime partner Sandy V. Campoli.
Donations may be made in Nancy's honor to Saratoga Community Hospice.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, April 26th from 5-8pm at Brown's Brewing Co.'s Malt Room in Troy, NY.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 2nd at 11:30 am at St. Clement's Church, Lake Avenue Saratoga Springs, NY.
Please honor Nancy with wearing bright and colorful clothing to both of her services - she loved all the colors of the rainbow.
