Saratoga Springs - Nancy Morrissey of 400 Church St. died Jan 17, 2025. She was 91.

Mrs. Morrissey was born in Saratoga Springs on April 9, 1933, the daughter of the late Vern and Louise Carr. She was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. She received bachelors and master's degree from Plattsburgh State. She taught at Glens Falls City School District for 4 years and at Caroline Street Elementary School for 28 years, she retired in 1988.

Mrs. Morrissey was a member of ST. Paul's Lutheran Church. She felt blessed to have a wonderful family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her son, Michael (Christine) and grandchildren, Maggie, Laura, and Sean. In addition she is survived by her sister, Sandra (Richard) Requa and brother-in- law James (Ann) Morrissey.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, John of 52 years who passed in 2008.

A funeral service will be held on Monday April 21, 2025 at 10 am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 149 Lake Ave. Burial will follow in Greenridge Cemetery
