Saratoga Springs, NY - Nancy G. (Falkenbury) Schrade passed away peacefully comforted by her daughter Gretchen on Saturday (July 31, 2010) at the Westmount Health Facility in Queensbury. She was 82. Born on January 17, 1928 in Saratoga Springs, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Horsefield Falkenbury. Nancy resided in Lighthouse Point, Florida for 30 years, working for several years at First Union and Wachovia Bank. She and her late husband, John H. "Jack" Schrade, (who died April 7, 2008) owned and operated Schrade's Greenhouses and Landscaping for many years and later established The Posie Peddler Florist in Saratoga Springs in 1974. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Robert Douglas. Falkenbury, Jr. (Lt. Col. Ret.). Survivors include two sons, John Schrade of North Creek, Thomas Schrade of Saratoga Springs; two daughters, Gretchen (James) Squires of Saratoga Springs and Carol (John) Kelly of Trinity, FL; six grandchildren, Amy (Dennis) Van der staay, Jeff Wright, Julie and Ryan Schrade, Andrea and Jacob Cummings. She is also survived by her beloved Sister- In-law, Louise Falkenbury. Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11am Friday (Aug. 6, 2010) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Adam C. Wiegand of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot at Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Avenue.
